A gem

Supraland is a perfect depiction of your own childhood fantasy. The opening scene sets the stage beautifully as you watch a small boy place a toy inside a sandpit, instantly bringing back that feeling of imagination running wild.

Supraland stands out as a true gem in its genre, and what makes it even more impressive is that it was crafted by a small team. The game strikes a great balance between puzzles, combat, and exploration, blending them together into a smooth and engaging experience. As a tiny toy in a massive sandpit, the sense of scale is done brilliantly. Everyday objects feel huge and important, making the world exciting to explore.

The humor throughout the story adds extra charm, with clever dialogue and fun moments that never feel forced. There are also plenty of hidden secrets and Easter eggs waiting to be found, that are relevant to the time when the game was released, rewarding players who take the time to look around every corner. Progression feels satisfying too, as each new ability opens up areas you couldn’t reach before, encouraging you to think differently and revisit places with fresh ideas.

It’s hard to fully explain the magic of the game. It’s something you really have to experience yourself.

Without a doubt, I highly recommend diving into this unique and creative world.
